Baseball Game Preview: NCSSM: Durham Unicorns vs. East Wake Academy Eagles

NCSSM: Durham is 0-6 against East Wake Academy since March of 2022 but things could change on Monday. The Unicorns will host the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

NCSSM: Durham is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Franklin Academy, falling 8-1.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, East Wake Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of Grace Christian by a score of 5-4.

East Wake Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Fuentes, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

NCSSM: Durham's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for East Wake Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.

NCSSM: Durham might still be hurting after the 13-0 loss they got from East Wake Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Unicorns avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
