Baseball Recap: North Newton Find Success

It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but North Newton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Frontier Falcons 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Spartans have posted since May 16, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Korbyn Haberlin, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Preston Boezeman also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

North Newton's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Frontier, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
