KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate was the 3-2 winner over Salem when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers fell just short of the Witches by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate took Salem into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking nine-point loss. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-18, 17-25, 25-23, 15-6.

Xavier Pena paced KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate's offense, picking up 17 kills. Pena got some help from Christopher Pena and his 28 assists. Finally, Jayden Delgado kept KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Salem, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-14.

KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Wakefield Memorial on the 21st. As for Salem, they will take on Woburn Memorial at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tanners will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Witches surely won't give up without a fight.
