Recap: Cornerstone Charter Academy Ducks vs. Wildwood Wildcats
On Friday, Cornerstone Charter Academy didn't have too much trouble with Wildwood on the road as they won 63-48. The win made it back-to-back wins for Cornerstone Charter Academy.
Cornerstone Charter Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayden Lebron out in front who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. Jeremiah Wade was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
Wildwood's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Louis Brown, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kevonte Corbin, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
Cornerstone Charter Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Wildwood, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
Cornerstone Charter Academy is on the road again on Friday and play against Mount Dora Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th. Wildwood will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on The Villages Charter at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th.
