Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Kingdom Christian

Kingdom Christian entered their tilt with CHESS Christian on Saturday with three consecutive wins dating back to last season, and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Royals.

Kingdom Christian easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15.

Evie Oglesby paced Kingdom Christian's offense, picking up seven kills. Oglesby got some help from Sophia Meyer and her six assists. Oglesby was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Despite the defeat, CHESS Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Halle Carroll had 12 digs.

Kingdom Christian's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for CHESS Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coincidentally, Kingdom Christian and CHESS Christian will both be playing Marion H the next time they take the court. The Royals will head out to face the Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Lions will play them later in the day, at 5:45 p.m.
