Football Game Preview: Lyons Lions vs. Front Range Christian Falcons

For the first time this season, Lyons will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will challenge the Front Range Christian Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Lyons and five for Front Range Christian dating back to last season.

Two weeks ago, Lyons had to suffer through a 66-20 loss at the hands of Merino.

Lyons didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Zach Stuerman and Maxwell Elson.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Front Range Christian's offense. They were outmatched by Haxtun and fell 64-0. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while the Fightin' Bulldogs are ranked third).

Lyons' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Front Range Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 0-4.

Lyons came up short against Front Range Christian when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 12-8. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
