Cumberland has gone a perfect 4-0 against Unity recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Beavers will host the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Cumberland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.
Cumberland took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Ashland with a sharp 11-5 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Beavers considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Maci Anderson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off 13 hits. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Raegan Beecroft was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Presli Butzler was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Cumberland kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 5-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Unity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 9-2 to Cameron.
Unity saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Corinne Dueholm, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. Belle Carlson also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Unity's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Cumberland, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.
Unity's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Cumberland has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .443. It's a different story for Unity, though, as they've only averaged .280. Will they be able to contain Cumberland's hitters?
Everything went Cumberland's way against Unity in their previous meeting on April 9th, as Cumberland made off with a 14-7 win. Will the Beavers repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
