Reece Ward gave up the fewest walks he has since back in March of 2025 on Friday. Despite the loss, he was still locked in as he tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Ward and Pompano Beach will face off against Franklin Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Sadly, Ward's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Golden Tornadoes' three-game streak of wins at home.
