Basketball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Madison's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Winthrop typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Madison proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Winthrop Ramblers by a score of 51-41. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Madison is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Winthrop, their loss ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-4.

Madison will challenge Old Orchard Beach at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Old Orchard Beach has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with three straight defeats, while Madison will come in with four straight victories. As for Winthrop, they will take on Traip at 2:30 p.m. on Monday.
