Football Recap: Riverside Gets the Win + How To Watch

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Riverside ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They walked away with a 27-20 victory over the Boiling Springs Bulldogs. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 41-6 win the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

It was another big night for Gideon Merhib, who rushed for 121 yards and one score, and also threw for 255 yards while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in August of 2024.

Riverside didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Boiling Springs to a completion percentage of just 40%. The Warriors weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 65.2%.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kyron Tobler, who rushed for 116 yards on only seven carries.

Riverside's record is now 4-5. As for Boiling Springs, they now also have a losing record of 4-5.
