Volleyball Recap: Wes-Del Takes a Loss

After flying high against Randolph Southern on Wednesday, Wes-Del came back down to earth. The Warriors took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Madison-Grant Argylls on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2016.

While Wes-Del ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 22-25, 25-19.

Wes-Del has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season. As for Madison-Grant, their record now sits at 5-16.

Looking ahead, Wes-Del will square off against Yorktown at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Madison-Grant, they will host Alexandria-Monroe at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
