Softball Recap: Centennial's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

After flying high against Martin County last Tuesday, Centennial came back down to earth. The Eagles took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Okeechobee Brahmans on Thursday. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Brahmans earlier this season, when they won 14-2.

Jaelyn Cooke was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Myrna Pratt, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

With the loss, Centennial broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-4. As for Okeechobee, they moved to 4-10 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Centennial has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Jupiter on the 11th. As for Okeechobee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 4-1 win against Jensen Beach on the 11th.
