Volleyball Recap: Stansbury Comes Up Short

Stansbury lost against Hillcrest back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Stallions fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 2-1. The Stallions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Stansbury might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Hillcrest: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 23-25, 28-26, 15-12.

Kapryce Satele paced Stansbury's offense, picking up eight kills. Satele got some help from Leah Winder and her 19 assists. Hadley Ashcroft and Bryn Leigh Jones kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Stansbury's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Hillcrest, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.

Stansbury didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Ogden on the 19th. As for Hillcrest, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Judge Memorial Catholic on the 20th.
