Basketball Recap: Wright City Extends Winning Streak to Four

Wright City entered their tilt with Fort Towson on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Fort Towson Tigers 59-33. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lumberjax also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Leading Wright City to victory were Braileigh Threadgill and Peyton Miller. Threadgill almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds, while Miller went 8 for 13 en route to 20 points and five steals. That's the most steals Miller has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was McKenlie Miller, who posted eight points and three steals.

Wright City's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-10. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Fort Towson, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Coincidentally, Wright City and Fort Towson will both be playing Antlers the next time they take the court. Fort Towson will head out to face Antlers at 6:30 p.m. on January 27th, while Wright City will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on January 30th.
