After flying high against Altavista last Thursday, Dan River came back down to earth. The Wildcats lost 3-0 to the Appomattox County Raiders on Tuesday. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-7, 25-19.

Dan River's offense was headlined by Kennedy Pruitt and Ally Silvey, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Reese Holdren and her eight assists. Silvey was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Paisley Mann had an outrageously good game for Appomattox County as she had 14 digs and four aces.

Dan River's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Appomattox County, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 15-1.

Dan River has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Gretna on the 14th. As for Appomattox County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Altavista on the 9th.
