Football Recap: Rubidoux Falcons vs. Desert Hot Springs Golden Eagles
Rubidoux kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell to the Desert Hot Springs Golden Eagles 20-14. The Falcons lost against the Golden Eagles in their previous head to head back in August of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 56-8 score last time.
Although Rubidoux took the loss, they still got scores from Jesus Vasquez and Joshua Green.
Rubidoux wouldn't let Desert Hot Springs keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Rubidoux can thank Gabriel Cisneros and Nehemiah Driscoll for forcing both of them. Driscoll's also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making two total tackles.
Rubidoux will look to defend their home field on Friday against Citrus Hill at 7:00 p.m. As for Desert Hot Springs, they will square off against Jurupa Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both are at an even 3-3 against one another since September of 2018.
