Baseball Recap: Daphne Takes a Loss

Daphne was the 12-11 winner over West Florida when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Daphne Trojans fell just short of the West Florida Jaguars by a score of 6-4 on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by exactly two runs.

Daphne has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. West Florida's win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1.

Coming up, Daphne will welcome Spanish Fort at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Florida, they are taking a road trip to take on Pine Forest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. West Florida is facing Pine Forest at the right time seeing as Pine Forest is stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
