Boston English came tearing into Sunday's contest with 12 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They beat the Charlestown Townies by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 9-3. Considering the Eagles have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Sunday's blowout was nothing new.

Boston English's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Charlestown, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-7.
