Softball Recap: Porter Spartans vs. Tarkington Longhorns

While Porter put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Tarkington. The Porter Spartans were the clear victor by a 15-0 margin over the Tarkington Longhorns. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Kami Hayes looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only a hit over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Kylie Rose and Mckenna Rinewalt did most of the damage at the plate: Rose went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Rinewalt went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Avery Evans-Pickens was another key player, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3.

Porter always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tarkington only posted an OBP of .100.
