Football Game Preview: Forest Hills Rangers vs. Central Cambria Red Devils + How To Watch

Forest Hills has gone 7-2 against Central Cambria recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Rangers will venture away from home to square off against the Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. Forest Hills will be strutting in after a win while Central Cambria will be coming in after a defeat.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Forest Hills and Bedford, and Forest Hills kept the tradition alive. The Rangers strolled past the Bisons with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 21-7. Given the Rangers' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Bisons are ranked 302nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Xander Richardson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 190 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 9.0 yards per carry. What's more, he racked up six receiving yards, the most he's had since back in August of 2024.

Richardson was just one part of a punishing run game: Forest Hills was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 210 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Central Cambria fell victim to Chestnut Ridge and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Lions, falling 27-0. The Red Devils have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Central Cambria's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Forest Hills, their record is now 5-1.

Everything came up roses for Forest Hills against Central Cambria in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 42-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rangers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
