Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Makes It Six in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for LaFayette, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against the North Murray Mountaineers by a score of 2-0 on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Ramblers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: LaFayette took both sets by at least 15 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-10.

Gracie Rambo paced LaFayette's offense, picking up seven kills. Rambo got some help from Jaslyn Capello and her 17 assists. Rambo was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

LaFayette's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-4. As for North Murray, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Coincidentally, LaFayette and North Murray will both be playing Chattooga the next time they take the court. The Mountaineers will head out to face the Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Ramblers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
