Basketball Recap: Harris-Lake Park Comes Up Short

Harris-Lake Park lost against Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Harris-Lake Park Wolves took a blow against the Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union Royals, falling 73-40. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 336th, while the Royals are ranked 66th).

Harris-Lake Park's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 16-2.

Harris-Lake Park will venture away from home to challenge West Bend-Mallard at 7:45 p.m. on Monday. Considering West Bend-Mallard has lost six straight at home and Harris-Lake Park five straight on the road , this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum. As for Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union, they will take on Trinity Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
