Basketball Game Preview: West Field Longhorns vs. Rigby Trojans

The West Field Longhorns will face off against the Rigby Trojans at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The timing isn't great for West Field: they have been struggling with seven straight losses at home, while Rigby has snatched up six consecutive wins on the road.

West Field played in conference for the first time on Thursday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They walked away with a 56-45 victory over Bear River.

West Field's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kylee Mueller, who went 7 for 14 on her way to 16 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jalyn Coombs, who went 6 of 10 en route to 14 points and six boards.

Meanwhile, Rigby was fully in charge on Thursday, breezing past Canyon Ridge 74-23. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Rigby is also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for West Field, their victory bumped their record up to 5-11.
