Oakwood hadn't done well against Eaton recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Lumberjacks came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 3-1. Winning may never get old, but the Lumberjacks sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

While Oakwood might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Eaton scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 19-25, 25-23, 25-22.

Evie Connor paced Oakwood's offense, picking up 19 kills. Connor got some help from Berkley Parker and her 35 assists. Parker was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Oakwood's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Eaton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Oakwood has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Dayton Christian on the 28th. As for Eaton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Waynesville on the 28th.
