Belmont is 6-1 against Roybal since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Belmont and nine for Roybal.

Belmont lost 3-0 to Robert F. Kennedy Community two weeks ago.

Belmont was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-19, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Roybal came up short against Bernstein last Wednesday, falling 3-0.

While Roybal was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Bernstein's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-10, 25-14.

Roybal's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Belmont, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.

Belmont took their victory against Roybal in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sentinels since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
