Baseball Game Preview: Wolfe County Wolves vs. Montgomery County Indians

The Wolfe County Wolves will take on the Montgomery County Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Wolfe County is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Lawrence County on Thursday. They fell 6-2 to the Bulldogs.

Wolfe County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chance Fallen, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Montgomery County suffered their biggest loss since April 25, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against Powell County, falling 9-3. The Indians have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Montgomery County's defeat dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Wolfe County, their loss dropped their record down to 17-9.

Everything went Wolfe County's way against Montgomery County in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Wolfe County made off with a 16-6 victory. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
