Softball Recap: Contreras Extends Winning Streak to Three

Contreras let Robert F. Kennedy Community stack 14 runs on them in the first inning on Monday but luckily Contreras prevailed anyway. The Cobras walked away with a 21-16 victory over the Bobcats. The win was familiar territory for the Cobras, who have now won three games in a row.

The team relied heavily on Joselyn Carrasco, who got four hits. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got four or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Dahila Canul, who got two hits.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Contreras kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 22 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Contreras' record is now 6-7. As for Robert F. Kennedy Community, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.
