West Las Vegas had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Thursday. They came out on top against the Santa Fe Indian Braves by a score of 4-0. The Dons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Braves, too.

Jeremiah Ortega was excellent, getting on base in three of his six plate appearances with two stolen bases and two RBI. Javi Montoya was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his six plate appearances.

West Las Vegas' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Santa Fe Indian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-4 record this season.
