The Mount Vernon Majors will square off against the Justice Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mount Vernon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.6 runs per game this season.

Mount Vernon is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Hayfield just ended the team's nine-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Majors couldn't push the score so high this time.

Mount Vernon saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hudson Grimsley, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Justice didn't have quite enough to beat Falls Church on Monday and fell 6-4.

Justice has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for Mount Vernon, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-5.

Everything went Mount Vernon's way against Justice in their previous matchup back in April, as Mount Vernon made off with a 16-1 win. Will the Majors repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
