Sage Creek had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37.6 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They came out on top against the St. Augustine Saints by a score of 62-53. This was payback for the Bobcats, who suffered a 71-24 loss the last time these two teams met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sage Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Elijah Stephens, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Elias Samady, who posted 14 points.

Sage Creek's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.5 points per game. As for St. Augustine, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-14.

Sage Creek won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Oceanside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oceanside knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Sage Creek likes a good challenge. As for St. Augustine, they are taking a road trip to square off against University City at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
