Football Recap: Savannah Christian Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Savannah Christian and Fellowship Christian squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Savannah Christian had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Paladins 45-14. The matchup marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Savannah Christian still got an impressive performance from Blaise Thomas, who rushed for 131 yards and one TD, and also threw for 92 yards and one touchdown. Thomas' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 120 rushing yards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Fellowship Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jonathan Granby, who rushed for 133 yards and one score on only eight carries, and also threw for 71 yards and one TD. Cj Givers was another key player, rushing for 113 yards and one touchdown on only 14 carries.

Savannah Christian's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Fellowship Christian, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Savannah Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fellowship Christian, they will face off against Calvary Day at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Paladins will need to watch out since the Cavaliers have now posted at least 31 points in their last nine games.
