Basketball Recap: Laurel Comes Up Short

Laurel lost against Havre two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Laurel Locomotives lost 68-48 to the Havre Blue Ponies. While losing is never fun, the Locomotives can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 52nd in Montana, while the Blue Ponies are ranked fourth in Montana).

Laurel has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. The victory (which was Havre's fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-2.

As of now, neither Laurel nor Havre have any future games scheduled.
