Football Game Preview: Tulelake Honkers vs. Hayfork Timberjacks + Official Tickets

The Tulelake Honkers will head out on the road to challenge the Hayfork Timberjacks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Tulelake is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Happy Camp 54-6. The high-scoring effort was just what the Honkers needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Meanwhile, Hayfork never let their opponents score last Friday. They breezed past Tulelake to the tune of 60-0. The Timberjacks' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a point in their last four games.

Tulelake better keep an eye on Levi Cavalli. He was instrumental in Hayfork's win, rushing for 259 yards and three TDs on only 15 carries. Cavalli's longest rush was for an incredible 97 yards. Another player making a difference was Daryn Douglas, who rushed for 86 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six carries.

Hayfork was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 417 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Hayfork didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Evan Pickett and Mukeng Yang. Hayfork received some extra help from Cavalli, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Hayfork's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Tulelake, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Tulelake was dealt a bruising 60-0 defeat at the hands of Hayfork in their previous matchup last Friday. Can the Honkers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
