Volleyball Recap: Draughn Has No Trouble Against Patton

Draughn not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 22, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on the Patton Panthers with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Wildcats were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Panthers, so the Wildcats were just returning the favor.

Draughn got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The final score came out to 25-19, 34-32, 25-12.

Bailey Mozeley paced Draughn's offense, picking up 14 kills. Mozeley got some help from Shelby Proffitt and her 13 assists. Macy Auton controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Draughn has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Patton, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

Draughn has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against East Rutherford on the 2nd. As for Patton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against R-S Central on the 2nd.
