Basketball Game Preview: Green Bulldogs vs. Howland Tigers

The Green Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the Howland Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Green is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Ohio's top teams: Anthony Wayne, who was ranked 16th at the time (Green was ranked 11th). Green had to suffer through a 68-38 loss at the hands of Anthony Wayne. The Bulldogs' defeat signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Howland was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 49-45 to Chaney.

Howland has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Green, their loss dropped their record down to 12-2.

Green strolled past Howland when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a score of 61-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Green since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
