Soccer Recap: Madison Takes a Loss

Madison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Holdrege Dusters. Madison were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Holdrege apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Angel Sotelo and Kelier Arrazaeta scored both of Madison's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Madison's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Holdrege, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Madison will challenge rival Norfolk at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Holdrege is set to square off against their familiar foe North Platte at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
