Basketball Game Preview: Cedar Hill Longhorns vs. Skyline Raiders

The Cedar Hill Longhorns will venture away from home to square off against the Skyline Raiders at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Cedar Hill's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight matches.

Cedar Hill is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Duncanville on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Cedar Hill was beaten by Duncanville 99-71. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Panthers and Pantherettes are ranked 14th).

Meanwhile, Skyline came up short against Horn on Friday and fell 63-55. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Jaguars recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Cedar Hill has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 18-15 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.5 points over those games. As for Skyline, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-21.

Cedar Hill came out on top in a nail-biter against Skyline in their previous matchup back in January, sneaking past 58-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cedar Hill since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
