Basketball Recap: Brownstown Falls Despite Big Games from Madi Miller and Dayana Haslett

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Brownstown can now relate to. They fell just short of the Calhoun/Brussels Warriors by a score of 37-35 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bombers have suffered since February 16, 2024.

Brownstown's loss came despite strong showings from Dayana Haslett and Madi Miller. Haslett posted 18 points and three steals, while Miller almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds. Haslett has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie Sasse, who earned five boards and three steals.

Brownstown's defeat dropped their record down to 26-7. As for Calhoun/Brussels, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Brownstown nor Calhoun/Brussels have any future games scheduled.
