Grand Valley came into Friday's game looking for another win against Olathe, but Hunter Lynch wouldn't allow it. The Pirates claimed a resounding 34-0 victory over the Cardinals for which the team can thank Lynch, who rushed for 115 yards and a pair of scores, and also picked up 31 receiving yards. He also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Olathe is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

Olathe pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 4.0 points on average over those games. As for Grand Valley, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Olathe will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Meeker at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. The Cowboys' defense has only allowed 14.8 points per game this season, so the Pirates' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Grand Valley, they have already played their next matchup, a 43-0 defeat against Cedaredge on the 17th.
