Basketball Recap: Iowa City West Takes a Loss

Iowa City West and Xavier squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Iowa City West had to settle for second. They took a hard 57-41 fall against the Xavier Saints. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Saints apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Iowa City West's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Xavier, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 22-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Xavier beat Iowa City West by a score of 57-41 on Friday.
