Volleyball Recap: Stevens Point Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Stevens Point had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They came out on top against the De Pere Redbirds by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Stevens Point not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept De Pere between 18 and 20 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20.

Nora Kruger paced Stevens Point's offense, picking up seven kills. Kruger got some help from Katie Kornowski and her 21 assists. Kornowski was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Stevens Point's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for De Pere, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.

After both having extra time off, Stevens Point and D.C. Everest will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on September 4. As for De Pere, they will take on Wrightstown at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
