They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-11 victory over the Cardinal Spellman Pilots on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Rams sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Derek Soroa was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Soroa was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jack McKillop, who scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Miguel Reich was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one home run and three RBI.
Fordham Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
