Soccer Game Preview: Laguna Beach vs. University

The Laguna Beach Breakers will challenge the University Trojans at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams beat their previous opponents by a single goal, so this matchup might be just as contested.

Laguna Beach's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They beat St. Margaret's by a goal, winning 1-0. The result kept the Breakers happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 10th.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Max Garner, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, University hasn't lost a match since December 17, 2024, a trend which continued in their latest game on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged Woodbridge out 2-1. University has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those nine contests. As for Laguna Beach, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4-4.
