Volleyball Recap: Grand Ledge's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak at Home + How To Watch

Grand Ledge lost against St. Johns back in October of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Comets fell just short of the Redwings by a score of 2-1.

Grand Ledge actually scored more points across those three sets (69-64), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 14-25, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Grand Ledge still got an impressive performance from Faith Brown, who had 14 digs and two aces. Brown has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played. Hailey Ellis also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Grand Ledge's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-7-1. As for St. Johns, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-7.

Grand Ledge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Lansing Catholic on the 11th. As for St. Johns, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Swan Valley on the 15th.
