Basketball Game Preview: Sacred Heart Eagles vs. Clearbrook-Gonvick Bears

Sacred Heart is 8-2 against Clearbrook-Gonvick since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Sacred Heart Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Clearbrook-Gonvick Bears at 6:30 p.m. Sacred Heart knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matches -- so hopefully Clearbrook-Gonvick likes a good challenge.

Sacred Heart had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 22-point drubbing they dealt Roseau on Saturday. Sacred Heart put the hurt on Roseau with a sharp 70-48 victory. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Clearbrook-Gonvick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 79-52 loss at the hands of Kittson Central.

Clearbrook-Gonvick's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Sacred Heart, their victory bumped their record up to 17-12.

Sacred Heart strolled past Clearbrook-Gonvick in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a score of 80-62. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sacred Heart since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
