Football Game Preview: Ludlow Panthers vs. Newport Wildcats

The Ludlow Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Newport Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Ludlow gave up the first points on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They strolled past St. Henry with points to spare, taking the game 32-14.

Meanwhile, Newport waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They breezed past the Thorobreds/Fillies to the tune of 46-7. Considering the Wildcats have won four matchups by more than 28 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ludlow's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Newport, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Ludlow was dealt a bruising 47-7 defeat at the hands of Newport when the teams last played back in August. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Panthers were down 33-7.
