Softball Recap: Plainwell Find Success

After low-scoring totals in their previous three matchup, Plainwell brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 win over Sturgis on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for Plainwell, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Sophia Barth was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Heidi Ragainis also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Plainwell's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 3-14. As for Sturgis, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.

Plainwell will have a chance to go back-to-back against Sturgis: the pair will be back at it again later today.
