Soccer Game Preview: Georgetown vs. Deer Park

The Georgetown G-Men will venture away from home to take on the Deer Park Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Deer Park better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Georgetown's game on Tuesday is any indication, that's when Georgetown really gets things going. The G-Men's defense stepped up to hand Clark Montessori a 3-0 shutout. The win continues a trend for Georgetown in their matchups with Clark Montessori: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Deer Park challenged Felicity-Franklin on Thursday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 7-2 margin over the Cardinals. The high-scoring effort was just what Deer Park needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Georgetown's victory bumped their record up to 3-11-2. As for Deer Park, their win bumped their record up to 3-12-1.

Georgetown came out on top in a nail-biter against Deer Park in their previous meeting back in October of 2018, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the G-Men since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
