            Basketball Recap: Stevenson Ambassadors vs. Fordham Prep Rams        
        
		
        
        
            Stevenson played a tough  match  on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were  outmatched by the Fordham Prep Rams and fell  86-48. While losing is never fun, the Ambassadors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings  (they are ranked 519th, while the Rams are ranked 156th).
 It was another big night for  Brian Kapfer, who  went 12 for 16  en route to 32  points along with seven  rebounds and five  steals for Fordham Prep. The  game was  Kapfer's 16th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Matthew Herlick, who  almost  dropped  a triple-double on ten points, nine  boards,  and 14  assists.
Stevenson dropped their record down to 1-12 with the  defeat, which was their tenth straight  on the road dating back to last season. That  patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 55.4 points per game. As for Fordham Prep, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last nine contests,  which provided a massive bump to their 11-5 record  this season.
 Stevenson will be playing at home against Monroe Campus  at 1:30  p.m.  on Saturday. One thing working in Monroe Campus' favor is that they have posted at least 55  points  in their last six matches.
