            Volleyball Recap: Hopkinton Hillers vs. Shrewsbury Colonials        
        
		
        
        
            After a string of five wins, Hopkinton's good fortune finally ran out  on Wednesday. They fell  3-1 to the Shrewsbury Colonials. The Hillers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Colonials apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in September of 2024.
 Hopkinton started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-13, 25-15,  25-14.

 Despite the loss, Hopkinton still got an impressive performance from   Gabby Pattie, who  had 35 assists and five  digs. Pattie has been hot for a while, having  posted 17 or more  assists the last ten times she's  played.
Hopkinton's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Shrewsbury, the  victory keeps them at an undefeated 16-0.
 Coming up, Hopkinton will head out on the road to  face off against  Lincoln-Sudbury  at 4:15  p.m.  on Friday. As for Shrewsbury, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  3-0  win against Minnechaug Regional on the 16th.
